The Beginning of a New Chapter!

Hi everybody!
Well, once again I am taking off on another adventure, my final destination being on the other side of the world in the 8th poorest country in the world, Nepal. This year I am an "intern" learning how to eventually lead a team of my own on a volunteer mission. Myself and eight others will be taking off on May, 4th and flying to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. From there we will make our way into the Kathmandu Valley and arrive in the small mountain village of Lalitpur.
For the month of May we will be living in the orphange known as "The Godawari House" which is the home to many children ages 4-17. We will spend every day with these kids, helping them with their school work (teaching them how to read and write in english), playing sports with them, and learning about their culture through spending time with them.
We have had several amazing and generous people donate several things to the orphanage that we are really looking forward to bringing over with us. Every child at the orphanage will recieve a new umbrella, new bed sheets, and new school supplies because of the parents of my team members, and people throughout the community. We will also be bringing over soccer balls, volleyballs, frisbees, and other sporting equiptment that they may benifit from. My Mom has also donated a 20ft parashute that we will be bringing over, that we will all sign and leave as a way to remember us forever.
A lot like my trip last summer to Uganda, we will be compelting small projects around the community, and helping the people of Nepal, any way that we can! I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you once again, and want to thank you all for your love and support! Keep me in your prayers!
I will write again soon!
xoxo Tory
